Eric Rosebrock is the owner of The Web Freaks. His primary job is Sales, Public Relations,
Server Management and Lead Developer. He has been developing web pages for the past ten years which have
consisted of PERL, PHP, MySQL, CSS, XHTML, XML, JavaScript, AJAX and various other programming languages.
Eric currently works on sites such as:
Eric is also the Lead Software Developer for Hybodus Network Monitor, which is a Network and System Resource/Service Monitoring application
written in 100% PHP and MySQL. Hybodus Network Monitor is used by FedEx, Proctor & Gamble, and hundreds of web hosting
companies and datacenters around the world.
Eric a two-time published author of the following books titled: "Creating Interactive Websites with PHP and Web Services" and "Setting up LAMP: Getting Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP Working Together"
Eric's first book, Creating Interactive Websites with PHP and Web Services was released in October, 2003. His second book: Setting up LAMP: Getting Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP Working Together, co-authored with Eric Filson was released in July 2004.
In December of 2005, Eric appeard as an Expert Witness for a Civil Trial between two corporations in Panama City, Florida. The technologies that Eric represented were HTML, PHP, MySQL and Linux / FreeBSD.
In September, 2006 Eric appeard as a Guest Speaker for the CAC 2006 conference in Las Vegas, NV. The topics covered were PHP Security, Open Source Software, Commercial Software, Intrusion Prevention Systems and much more.
When Eric isn't coding or helping someone on the forums, he enjoys playing drums, General Aviation flying in single engine aircraft as well as flight simulation.
